Lighthouse Shaab El Erg South Dive Site

Depth 17 - 27 m

The Lighthouse Shaab El Erg South Dive Site is located on the southeastern side of the Shaab El Erg reef, offering a beautiful combination of reef wall and sloping seabed. Beginning at around 17 meters, the reef wall descends into a gentle sandy slope that continues toward 27–30 meters, making it suitable for intermediate and advanced divers who want to explore slightly deeper terrain while enjoying calm and predictable conditions.

This area is known for its excellent visibility and vibrant marine life. Divers often encounter blue-spotted rays, moray eels, and colorful wrasses patrolling the reef wall. The deeper sandy sections attract goatfish, stingrays, and occasional barracudas cruising along the edge of the reef. The site’s wide open space and gradual descent provide a perfect environment for practicing buoyancy, deep-dive training sessions, and peaceful sightseeing. With its blend of reef structure and open sandy areas, Lighthouse Shaab El Erg South offers one of the most relaxing and visually rewarding dives in the northern Hurghada region.
