Kimon M is one of the four famous shipwrecks of Abu Nuhas Reef in the northern Red Sea. This 106-meter-long German freighter sank in 1978 while en route to India carrying a cargo of lentil. Due to high speed and challenging weather conditions, the ship failed to avoid a collision with the reef. It remained afloat for several days before strong waves finally pushed it off the reef, sending it to the sandy seabed below.

Today, the wreck of Kimon M rests at a depth of 4–30 meters, lying on its starboard side. The bow is heavily damaged and partially buried in the sand, but the stern is relatively well-preserved. Divers can explore the engine room, where massive diesel engine remains visible, as well as parts of the ship’s interior, now home to a variety of marine life. The cargo holds, once filled with packs of lentil, have transformed into a maze of twisted metal structures adorned with soft corals and sponges.

Marine life thrives on Kimon M. Inside the wreck, moray eels, lionfish, and large schools of glassfish create a mesmerizing scene as they swirl around divers. Outside, surgeonfish and snappers move in coordinated groups, while barracudas and tunas patrol the area in search of prey. On the sandy seabed near the wreck, stingrays can often be spotted hiding among the debris.

Due to the extensive damage, Kimon M offers both an exciting and slightly challenging dive. Penetration requires careful navigation and good buoyancy control, as some corridors are narrow and collapsed structures can limit visibility. However, even without entering the wreck, it remains an impressive dive site with its sheer size and abundant marine life. Early morning dives here are particularly stunning, as the sunlight filters through the wreckage, casting an eerie yet beautiful glow over the scene.

The SS Thistlegorm is not just a shipwreck—it’s a time capsule from World War II, offering divers a unique glimpse into history. Built in 1940 by Joseph Thompson & Sons in Sunderland, England, this British merchant vessel was part of the Albion Line but was requisitioned by the British government for war transport.

In the summer of 1941, the SS Thistlegorm embarked on a top-secret mission to deliver crucial military supplies to the British 8th Army in North Africa. Since the Mediterranean was heavily patrolled by German and Italian forces, the ship took a longer route around Africa, through the Red Sea, towards the Suez Canal.

Onboard, it carried an incredible cargo, including:

Trucks and armored vehicles (Bedford, Ford, Morris, Austin)
BSA, Norton, and Matchless motorcycles
Two large steam locomotives with rail cars
Aircraft parts, weapons, ammunition, and fuel barrels
Medical supplies, clothing, and even rubber boots

As the SS Thistlegorm waited near the Gulf of Suez for clearance to enter the canal, disaster struck. In the early hours of October 6, 1941, German Heinkel He-111 bombers from KG 26 spotted the ship and mistook it for a battleship. Two direct hits struck the ammunition hold, triggering a massive explosion that split the ship in half. It sank within minutes.

Out of 48 crew members, 9 tragically lost their lives, while the rest were rescued by the nearby SS Carlisle.

For decades, the wreck remained forgotten until Jacques Cousteau located it in 1955. He filmed the site but kept the location secret. It wasn't until the 1990s that the SS Thistlegorm became a popular dive site.

Resting at 30 meters deep, the wreck is largely intact, with its bow still upright while the stern is torn apart. Divers can explore:

Shaab El Erg Dolphin House Hurghada diving is one of the most popular dive sites near Hurghada, best known for its frequent dolphin encounters. Located north of Hurghada, this horseshoe-shaped reef features vibrant coral gardens, sandy plateaus, and rich marine biodiversity. Divers can encounter turtles, moray eels, lionfish, and large schools of colorful reef fish. With mild currents and excellent visibility, Shaab El Erg is ideal for both beginners and experienced divers. It is typically used for check dives on the first day of Northern itineraries.

The Salem Express is one of the most famous yet tragic dive sites in the Red Sea. This 400-foot-long ferry sank on December 17, 1991, after colliding with the Hyndman Reef near Safaga. Onboard were over 650 passengers, most of them pilgrims returning from Mecca. Tragically, the disaster claimed the lives of hundreds, making this site an emotionally powerful place to visit.
The wreck lies at a depth of 10 to 32 meters, resting on its starboard side. Divers can explore the cargo holds, where cars, personal belongings, and remnants of the journey remain untouched. The hull is now covered in corals and home to marine life such as barracudas, groupers, and moray eels.
This site demands respect and a thoughtful approach – many consider it not just a wreck dive but an underwater memorial.

Middle Reef is one of our favorite dive sites in the region, despite being relatively unknown among divers. This hidden gem boasts stunning coral gardens and fascinating underwater landscapes.
The site offers gentle drift dives, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced divers. Its standout features include majestic coral columns and tunnels, home to clownfish, lionfish, barracudas, and turtles. In the sandy lagoons on the western side, stingrays and leopard sharks can often be spotted.
We love diving here again and again, as Middle Reef provides a peaceful atmosphere, abundant marine life, and breathtaking scenery that makes every dive truly special.

Tobia Arbaa, also known as "The Four Pinnacles," is a beautiful dive site near Soma Bay, famous for its towering coral formations rising from the sandy bottom. These pinnacles are covered in vibrant soft and hard corals, attracting an abundance of marine life, including moray eels, lionfish, scorpionfish, and schools of fusiliers. The site offers easy diving conditions with minimal currents, making it ideal for underwater photographers. With its rich biodiversity and stunning coral structures, Tobia Arbaa is one of the most picturesque and enjoyable dive sites in the area.

SS Turkia Wreck — A Hidden Gem of the Northern Red Sea

The SS Turkia is one of the most unusual and rarely visited shipwrecks in the Egyptian Red Sea. Lying far north of the traditional liveaboard routes, in the Gulf of Suez near Zafarana, this historic World War II cargo ship offers a completely different wreck diving experience from the better-known sites of the Northern Red Sea. At around 91 metres long, the SS Turkia is an impressive sight underwater. The wreck lies upright on a sandy seabed, with the shallowest parts beginning at approximately 10 metres and the bottom reaching around 24 metres. Its relatively shallow position allows divers to spend considerable time exploring the ship, while the remote location gives the dive a genuine feeling of exploration.

The History of SS Turkia

The ship was built in 1909 at Earles Shipbuilding & Engineering Co. in Hull, England, originally entering service as the SS Livorno. She was a 1,671-ton steam cargo ship measuring approximately 91.5 metres in length and 13 metres in beam, powered by a triple-expansion steam engine and a single propeller. During her early career, Livorno operated on European routes and survived the First World War. In 1935 the vessel was sold to Greek owners and renamed Turkia. Her final voyage began in New York in May 1941, during the Second World War. The ship was carrying a mixed cargo that included industrial materials, vehicles, tyres, metal products, ammunition and explosives. Because the Mediterranean route was unavailable, she travelled around the Cape of Good Hope and entered the Red Sea on her way to Piraeus, Greece. On 17 May 1941, while in the northern Red Sea near Zafarana lighthouse, a fire broke out in one of the cargo holds. The crew abandoned the ship, and shortly afterwards the cargo exploded. The SS Turkia sank rapidly and came to rest on the seabed in the Gulf of Suez.

Diving the SS Turkia

The wreck is particularly interesting because much of its overall structure remains recognisable. Divers can explore the bow, stern, cargo holds, superstructure and accommodation areas, while the surrounding seabed contains numerous pieces of the ship's original cargo and debris. Among the most interesting features reported on the wreck are coils of wire, vehicle tyres and remains of vehicles, as well as other cargo associated with her wartime voyage. Some areas of the wreck can be penetrated by suitably trained and experienced divers, although penetration should always be approached conservatively and according to current conditions and the diver's training. The relatively shallow maximum depth of approximately 24 metres makes the SS Turkia accessible to appropriately certified recreational divers, while its size and interior areas provide plenty to explore over several dives. Underwater, the wreck has become an artificial reef supporting marine life typical of the northern Red Sea. Divers may encounter schools of reef fish, groupers, barracuda and other species around the hull and structure, with marine growth gradually covering parts of the ship.

SS Turkia vs. SS Thistlegorm

The SS Turkia is sometimes compared with the legendary SS Thistlegorm, and there are good reasons for the comparison: both are historic steam cargo ships lost during World War II while carrying wartime supplies, and both preserve fascinating traces of their original cargo. However, the two wrecks offer very different experiences. Thistlegorm is considerably more famous and receives regular visits from liveaboards, while SS Turkia remains remote and rarely visited. The absence of the usual crowds is one of the major attractions of the site. For divers who have already explored the classic Northern Red Sea wrecks and are looking for something genuinely different, SS Turkia offers a much stronger sense of adventure and discovery.

Why SS Turkia Is So Special

The location is a major part of the experience. SS Turkia is well outside the standard Hurghada liveaboard routes, and reaching the wreck requires a significant northbound expedition. There are no regular crowds of dive boats around the site, making every visit feel more like a dedicated wreck expedition than a conventional safari dive. The site is also strongly dependent on weather and sea conditions. Strong northerly winds can make the journey from Hurghada impractical, while the remote location and lack of permanent moorings or markers require careful navigation and local knowledge. For this reason, SS Turkia is not included in ordinary weekly liveaboard itineraries. At Sadko, we visit the wreck as part of our special The Ultimate North expedition, a signature route operated only once or twice a year.

The captain makes the final decision regarding the passage and the dive site based on navigation and safety considerations. If conditions are unsuitable, the itinerary may need to be changed. This is precisely what makes a visit to SS Turkia different from an ordinary wreck dive: it is an expedition to one of the Red Sea's most remote recreational-diving wrecks, rather than simply another stop on a standard safari route.

Million Hope Wreck — The Largest Wreck of Egyptian Red Sea

The Million Hope is one of the most impressive and unusual shipwrecks in the Egyptian Red Sea. Located near Nabq, north of Sharm El Sheikh, this enormous bulk carrier came to rest on a shallow reef in 1996. More than 170 metres long, the wreck rises from the seabed with parts of its superstructure still close to the surface, creating a spectacular dive site that can be explored by recreational divers. Unlike many of the historic wrecks of the Northern Red Sea, Million Hope is a relatively modern wreck. Its shallow depth, enormous scale and unusual position on the reef make it one of the most distinctive wreck dives in the Sharm El Sheikh and Tiran area.

The History of Million Hope

The vessel was built in Japan in 1972 at Koyo Dockyard in Mihara, originally launched as Ryusei Maru. She was a large bulk carrier approximately 174.6 metres long and 24.8 metres wide, equipped with five cargo holds and four large cranes. The ship was powered by two six-cylinder diesel engines and could reach a speed of around 17 knots. Over the following decades the vessel changed names and owners several times. In 1996 she was acquired by Aksonas Shipping Company of Limassol, Cyprus, and was renamed Million Hope. Her final voyage began on 19 June 1996, when she departed Aqaba, Jordan, bound for Taiwan. Her cargo consisted mainly of potash and phosphates, reportedly around 26,000 tonnes. In the early hours of 20 June 1996, the ship ran onto the inshore reef near Nabq, several miles north of Sharm El Sheikh. All members of the crew were rescued safely and the vessel was eventually declared a constructive total loss. The exact circumstances of the accident are not completely consistent between historical accounts. Reports mention poor visibility and a fire onboard, while other accounts suggest a combination of factors. What is certain is that Million Hope struck the reef and remained there, creating one of the largest modern wrecks accessible to recreational divers in the region.

Diving the Million Hope

The wreck lies upright alongside the reef, with a slight list to port. Its starboard side rests close to the reef while the hull extends down to approximately 20–24 metres, depending on the part of the wreck and the source used. Parts of the upper structure are extremely shallow, making it possible to explore a remarkable vertical range during a single dive. The enormous scale of the vessel is immediately apparent underwater. Divers can explore the cargo holds, decks, cranes, bow and stern, with the ship's huge propeller located around 20 metres deep. The cargo holds are open and empty, while various original fittings remain visible throughout the wreck. One of the most interesting areas is the bow, where the impact with the reef is clearly visible. The bulbous bow was forced backwards into the hull when the ship ran aground, providing a fascinating insight into the enormous forces involved in the accident. Depending on local conditions and the diver's experience, some areas of the wreck can also be explored internally, including access towards the engine room. Any penetration should be treated as a proper overhead-environment dive and undertaken only by suitably trained divers with appropriate equipment and experience.

A Wreck on Top of Another Wreck

Perhaps the most unusual feature of Million Hope is hidden beneath the ship. When Million Hope ran onto the reef in 1996, it came to rest directly on top of the remains of another vessel — Hey Daroma, which had been lost at the same location more than 25 years earlier. Hey Daroma was a much smaller general cargo vessel that ran aground near Nabq in 1970. After salvage attempts failed, the wreck eventually slipped into deeper water. When Million Hope struck the same reef in 1996, the much larger ship came to rest over the older wreck. Today, remnants of Hey Daroma can be found beneath and around Million Hope, making the site a remarkable example of two separate shipwreck stories occupying the same piece of reef.

Marine Life

Although Million Hope is primarily famous for its size and history, the wreck has also become an artificial reef supporting a variety of Red Sea marine life. The cargo holds and structural areas attract large schools of fish, while the surrounding reef can host groupers, lionfish, moray eels and other typical Red Sea species. Barracuda, jacks and other schooling fish may also be encountered around the wreck, particularly when visibility and current conditions are favourable. The combination of a huge steel structure, shallow reef and open water makes Million Hope particularly interesting for underwater photographers. The scale of the wreck provides opportunities for both wide-angle photography and close-up images of marine life and ship details.

Depth, Conditions and Experience Level

One of the main attractions of Million Hope is that the wreck sits within recreational diving depths, with the seabed generally around 20–24 metres and the upper sections starting almost at the surface. However, the shallow location should not be confused with easy conditions. The wreck is exposed to the open sea, and wind, swell and surface conditions can determine whether the site is safely accessible. Good sea conditions are particularly important for boat operations and for exploring the shallower sections of the wreck. For recreational divers, the site offers plenty to explore without requiring technical diving. Divers planning any penetration should have appropriate wreck or overhead-environment training and should follow a conservative dive plan.

Where Is Million Hope?

The wreck lies off the Nabq coast in South Sinai, north of Sharm El Sheikh, near the northern entrance to the Gulf of Aqaba. Its position makes it part of the wider Tiran and Sharm El Sheikh diving region. Million Hope is normally visited from Sharm El Sheikh when weather and sea conditions allow. Its exposed location means that access can be affected by wind and waves, so the decision to dive the site should always be based on current conditions.

It is less about age and historical atmosphere and more about scale, structure, accessibility and the unusual story of how two wrecks ended up occupying the same reef.

Million Hope with Sadko

Million Hope can be incorporated into our extended Northern Red Sea itineraries when the route and sea conditions allow. Combined with Ras Mohammed, the Straits of Tiran, Dahab, Northern Wrecks and other major Red Sea dive sites, it adds another completely different type of wreck to the itinerary. As with all exposed wreck sites, the final decision to visit Million Hope depends on weather, sea conditions, navigation and the captain's safety assessment. The itinerary may therefore be changed when necessary to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone onboard.

Giannis D is one of the most thrilling wreck dives in the Red Sea, located at the famous Abu Nuhas Reef, often called the "Ship Graveyard." This 100-meter-long Greek cargo ship was en route from Croatia to Saudi Arabia carrying timber when it struck the reef in 1983 and sank shortly after, breaking into three sections.

Resting at a depth of 5–28 meters with a dramatic tilt to the port side, Giannis D offers an exciting and slightly surreal diving experience. The wreck remains remarkably well-preserved, allowing divers to explore its spacious cargo holds, swim through the engine room, and get a close look at its massive diesel engine. The bridge is still intact, with windows providing eerie glimpses into the past.

Over time, the wreck has become an artificial reef covered in soft corals and sponges, attracting a variety of marine life. Schools of glassfish shimmer around the structure, while lionfish, stonefish, moray eels, stingrays, and barracudas patrol the wreck. Giant groupers can sometimes be spotted resting in the shadows of the hull. With great visibility, moderate currents, and an accessible depth range, Giannis D is an ideal dive site for both experienced wreck divers and those exploring sunken ships for the first time.

The Carnatic is one of the oldest and most intriguing wrecks in the Red Sea. This British steamship, built with a wooden hull, sank in 1869 on Abu Nuhas Reef while carrying a cargo of cotton, copper, gold, and bottles of wine—earning it the nickname “the wine wreck.” Check the Hurghada dive sites map below! En route from Suez to Bombay, the Carnatic struck the reef at full speed during a night crossing. Despite staying afloat for over 24 hours, the captain chose to wait for help instead of evacuating. Eventually, the ship broke in half and sank, tragically claiming 31 lives. Today, the wreck rests between 20 and 27 meters and is considered one of the most beautiful shipwrecks in the Red Sea. Its skeletal frame is now covered in vibrant soft corals, and its open structure makes for a safe and visually stunning dive. Inside, divers can swim through clouds of glassfish, while outside, giant moray eels, lionfish, and even turtles are often spotted. With its rich history, breathtaking coral growth, and diverse marine life, the Carnatic is a must-visit dive site at Abu Nuhas.

Chrisoula K (Marcus) is one of the four wrecks of Abu Nuhas Reef, a site often referred to as the "Ship Graveyard." This 98-meter-long Greek freighter sank in 1981 after striking the reef while carrying a cargo of ceramic tiles. For years, it was believed to be Chrisoula K, but later research identified it as Marcus. However, among divers, both names are still commonly used.

The wreck rests at a depth of 5–27 meters, with a well-preserved structure that allows for fascinating exploration. Divers can swim through the engine room, cargo holds filled with ceramic tiles, and even visit the bridge. The hull is encrusted with soft corals and sponges, attracting lionfish, stonefish, moray eels, and octopuses. Above the wreck, schools of barracudas and tunas are often seen hunting.

With its accessible depth and excellent visibility, Chrisoula K / Marcus is an ideal wreck dive for both experienced divers and those new to shipwreck exploration.

The Blue Hole in Dahab is a world-famous dive site, known for its deep vertical sinkhole, crystal-clear waters, and dramatic underwater topography. Located just north of Dahab, this natural wonder reaches depths of over 100 meters, making it a thrilling site for experienced divers.

One of its most famous features is the Arch, a deep passage at around 55-60 meters that connects the Blue Hole to the open sea. While the site is notorious for its depth and technical challenges, the upper sections of the Blue Hole offer stunning coral formations and a diverse range of marine life, making it accessible to recreational divers and snorkelers.

Expect to see colorful coral walls, schooling jacks, barracudas, and occasional reef sharks. The entry and exit are easy, with shore access right from the beach. The Blue Hole is a must-visit for divers looking to experience one of the Red Sea’s most legendary and breathtaking sites.

The Dunraven is one of the oldest and most famous shipwrecks in the Red Sea. This British sail-steamship was built in 1873 and used to transport cargo between England and India. The 80-meter-long vessel, with a displacement of around 1,600 tons, featured an iron hull and a hybrid sail-steam propulsion system, typical of ships of that era.

In March 1876, while en route from Bombay to the UK carrying a cargo of cotton and spices, the Dunraven struck Shaab Mahmoud Reef near the southern entrance of the Suez Gulf. The collision severely damaged the hull, causing rapid flooding. Despite the crew’s efforts to save the ship, it eventually capsized and sank to a depth of approximately 30 meters. Fortunately, the sailors were rescued by a passing vessel, but the cargo was lost forever.


The wreck now rests upside down at a depth of 15–30 meters. Despite being underwater for more than 140 years, the ship remains well-preserved and is a fascinating dive site. Its hull is encrusted with corals, penetration is possible.

The dive usually starts at the stern, where the ship’s massive propeller and rudder, now covered in marine growth, can still be seen. Moving forward, divers can enter the ship’s interior through spacious openings, exploring the engine room and seeing the large boilers that once powered the vessel. Light filtering through cracks creates a mesmerizing effect inside the wreck, making for an atmospheric dive.

Over the years, the Dunraven has transformed into a thriving artificial reef, attracting a wide variety of marine life. Inside the wreck, divers often encounter lionfish, moray eels, shrimp, and schools of glassfish that create a magical shimmering effect. Barracudas and trevallies patrol the outer hull, while octopuses and cuttlefish hide in crevices.

On the sandy seabed around the ship, stingrays can often be seen resting, while the wreck itself is home to an array of hard and soft corals. Angel fish, butterfly fish, and scorpionfish are common, and lucky divers may even spot a passing sea turtle gliding through the water.

The Canyon is one of Red sea's most unique dive sites, offering an incredible underwater landscape shaped by geological forces over thousands of years. This famous dive site features a dramatic crevice that runs deep into the seabed, with depths ranging from 10 meters to over 50 meters.

The dive begins from the zodiac next to the shallow sandy lagoon filled with vibrant coral formations and schools of reef fish. As you descend, you'll enter the Canyon itself, a deep crack in the seabed with breathtaking rock formations and overhanging walls. Sunrays filter through the opening above, creating mesmerizing light effects that make this dive truly unforgettable.

At around 30 meters, divers can find a large exit leading to the open sea, while the deeper sections remain a challenge for technical divers. Marine life around The Canyon includes glassfish, lionfish, nudibranchs, and even the occasional turtle or eagle ray.

With its spectacular rock formations and clear visibility, The Canyon is a must-visit site for divers in Dahab, offering an exciting and adventurous experience suitable for both recreational and technical diving.

Located at the southern tip of Shaab Mahmoud, Beacon Rock offers a mix of stunning coral reefs, diverse marine life, and easy access to the famous Dunraven wreck.

The site features a sloping reef from 5 to 30 meters, covered in colorful corals and home to reef fish, moray eels, barracudas, trevallies, and occasional whitetip reef sharks. Night dives reveal Spanish dancers, lobsters, and hunting lionfish.

With calm conditions, vibrant marine life, and excellent drift diving potential, Beacon Rock is a fantastic site for all levels, day or night.

Located at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, Ras Mohammed National Park is one of the most famous dive sites in the Red Sea. The unique combination of strong currents, sheer walls, and rich marine biodiversity makes this area a true underwater sanctuary.

Key dive sites include:

Shark Reef & Yolanda Reef – the signature dive of the Red Sea. Two reefs connected by a sandy plateau, teeming with marine life such as barracudas, tunas, massive schools of glassfish, and the iconic reef sharks. The Yolanda Reef is home to the scattered remains of the sunken Yolanda ship, including bathtubs, toilets, and other cargo.

Jackfish Alley – a site with sandy canyons and stunning coral formations, where divers can encounter stingrays, sea turtles, and reef sharks.

Located at the southernmost part of the Straits of Tiran, Gordon Reef is a vibrant dive site offering a mix of coral gardens, sandy slopes, and an impressive wreck resting on its surface. The site is suitable for all levels of divers, featuring mild currents, excellent visibility, and diverse marine life.

The reef’s shallow areas, ranging from 5 to 20 meters, are covered in hard and soft corals, providing shelter for countless reef fish. The deeper sections, dropping beyond 30 meters, attract larger species, including eagle rays and reef sharks. The moderate currents make it a great spot for relaxed drift dives.
One of Gordon Reef’s most iconic features is the wreck of the Loullia, a Panamanian cargo ship that ran aground in 1981. While the wreck itself is above water, the surrounding reef formations make for an exciting underwater landscape.

Thomas Reef is the smallest but most dramatic of the four reefs in the Straits of Tiran, offering breathtaking walls, strong currents, and an incredible array of marine life. This site is ideal for advanced divers due to its depth, vertical drop-offs, and occasional strong currents that make it an exhilarating drift dive.

Dive is usually done by zodiac and typically begins in the shallow area next to the reef wall at 10-15 meters, before following the sheer vertical walls covered in colorful soft corals and gorgonians. On the eastern side, a famous deep canyon starts at around 35 meters, with spectacular overhangs and caves. Due to the depth, this part is only accessible to technical divers, however, as recreational divers we still have an opportunity to admire its beauty from above.

Strong currents bring plankton-rich waters, attracting schools of pelagic fish, barracudas, and even sharks. The southern and western walls provide a more sheltered environment, allowing divers to enjoy the beauty of vibrant coral gardens before returning safely to the zodiac.

Woodhouse Reef is the longest of the four reefs in the Straits of Tiran, stretching between Jackson Reef and Thomas Reef. Known for its steep walls, strong currents, and diverse marine life, this site is primarily a drift dive, offering an exciting underwater adventure.
The eastern side of the reef is the most popular dive route, featuring sheer drop-offs covered in vibrant soft corals, gorgonians, and massive sponges. Located at the northernmost part of the Straits of Tiran, Jackson Reef is one of the most famous dive sites in the northern Red Sea. Known for its stunning coral formations, strong currents, and abundant marine life, it attracts both recreational and advanced divers.

The reef features steep drop-offs, coral-covered plateaus, and an impressive wall plunging to great depths. The northern side is often exposed to strong currents, making it a prime spot for drift diving and pelagic encounters. The southern side offers a more sheltered dive with vibrant coral gardens and sandy patches.

One of the most striking landmarks is the wreck of the Lara, a Cypriot cargo ship that ran aground on the reef in the 1980s. While only remnants of the wreck remain on the surface, it adds historical intrigue to the site.

Jackson Reef is famous for the chance to see hammerhead sharks, especially during morning dives in the summer when they patrol the deep blue on the outer side of the reef. Other marine life includes: barracudas, tuna, and trevallies hunting along the reef’s edge, Napoleon wrasse and giant groupers cruising near the corals, Eagle rays and occasional manta rays gliding through the currents, Colorful anthias, butterflyfish, and bannerfish dancing over the reef, turtles and whitetip reef sharks resting in the sandy areas

Temple Reef, located just off Ras Umm Sid near Sharm El Sheikh, is a shallow and easy dive site, perfect for both beginners and experienced divers. The reef gets its name from its massive coral pinnacles, which resemble the columns of an ancient temple.

Temple Reef consists of a large coral tower rising from a sandy bottom at around 20 meters, reaching up to 5 meters beneath the surface. This pinnacle and coral formations around it are densely covered with soft corals, sponges, and vibrant marine life. The calm waters and minimal currents make it an excellent relaxed dive or night dive. It's our classic choice of a perfect location to spend one of the nights during our Northern cruises for our vessels - amazing night view overlooking Sharm El Sheikh and the famous Farsha Lounge is just another reason to visit it.

Small Giftun is one of Hurghada’s most popular dive sites. Located within the Giftun Islands marine park, it features a mix of sloping reefs, coral gardens, and impressive walls.

The site is known for its rich coral formations, large gorgonians, and a variety of caverns and swim-throughs. Marine life includes turtles, moray eels, Napoleon wrasse, barracudas, rays, and an abundance of reef fish. Divers may even encounter passing dolphins, adding to the magic of the dive.

With its calm conditions and moderate currents, Small Giftun is great for both relaxed reef dives and thrilling drift dives along its walls. It is also a fantastic spot for night dives, offering protection from waves and unique nocturnal marine life.

Panorama Reef is the largest reef in the Safaga region and one of the most spectacular dive sites in the Red Sea. This elongated underwater formation is surrounded by sheer drop-offs plunging over 200 meters deep, with vibrant coral gardens and caves decorating its eastern and western sides.

Strong currents bring large pelagic species, including tuna, barracuda, trevallies, and sharks. Divers often spot grey reef sharks patrolling the deeper areas, while oceanic whitetip sharks occasionally make an appearance. The upper reef is covered in hard and soft corals, providing shelter for moray eels, frogfish, and anemonefish.
