The Shaab Torfa, Banana Reef and Erg Sabina Dive Site lies in the area known as Ben El Gebal, meaning “between the mountains” in Arabic. Located between Big Giftun and Small Giftun, this region features four iconic dive sites: Shaab Torfa, Shaab Sabina, Banana Reef, and Erg Sabina. With depths ranging from 10 to 14 meters, the area is perfect for relaxed, scenic dives suitable for all levels. Each site offers its own unique charm. Shaab Torfa presents beautiful coral blocks and sandy patches, while Banana Reef is famous for its long reef edge shaped like a gentle curve. Erg Sabina, known for its vibrant coral pinnacle, attracts schooling fusiliers, anthias, goatfish, and trevallies. The shallow depth provides excellent light, enhancing the colors of soft and hard corals. Divers can expect encounters with moray eels, butterflyfish, snappers, rays, and occasionally turtles. The calm conditions and diverse features make this cluster of dive sites a must-visit for those exploring the Giftun area.
